What is Claude Cowork?

Claude Cowork is Anthropic's agent for general knowledge work. It can use your computer, files, and connected applications to complete longer-running tasks across your work tools.

With Composio Connect, Cowork can securely access apps like Api2pdf through MCP without you sharing account credentials directly with the agent.

What is the Api2pdf MCP server, and what's possible with it?

The API2PDF MCP server is an implementation of the Model Context Protocol that connects your AI agent and assistants like Claude, Cursor, etc directly to your API2PDF account. It provides structured and secure access to PDF and document processing tools, so your agent can create PDFs with headers and footers, merge documents, rearrange pages, reduce file sizes, and generate barcodes or QR codes on your behalf.

  • PDF creation and customization: Have your agent convert HTML into a PDF with customizable headers and footers using Headless Chrome.
  • Document assembly and page control: Direct your agent to merge multiple PDFs, extract selected pages, or reorder pages into a new sequence.
  • PDF optimization and conversion: Let the agent reduce a PDF's file size or convert a PDF document into HTML using LibreOffice.
  • Document thumbnail generation: Instruct your agent to create a thumbnail image from a document using LibreOffice.
  • Barcode and QR code creation: Have your agent generate barcodes or QR codes for labels, documents, and other workflows.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

With a standalone Api2pdf MCP server, the agents and LLMs can only access a fixed set of Api2pdf tools tied to that server. However, with the Composio Tool Router, agents can dynamically load tools from Api2pdf and many other apps based on the task at hand, all through a single MCP endpoint.

Yes, you can. Claude Cowork fully supports MCP integration. You get structured tool calling, message history handling, and model orchestration while Tool Router takes care of discovering and serving the right Api2pdf tools.

Yes, absolutely. You can configure which Api2pdf scopes and actions are allowed when connecting your account to Composio. You can also bring your own OAuth credentials or API configuration so you keep full control over what the agent can do.

All sensitive data such as tokens, keys, and configuration is fully encrypted at rest and in transit. Composio is SOC 2 Type 2 compliant and follows strict security practices so your Api2pdf data and credentials are handled as safely as possible.
